About the Luncheon

Join Palm Health Foundation as we change the conversation around brain health.  Brain health affects everyone.  Almost all of us know someone who has been weighed down by mental health conditions and many of us have personal struggles ourselves.  In Palm Beach County, brain disorders - including substance use disorders - are claiming thousands of lives each year.  We are more likely to experience a bout of mental illness than we are to acquire diabetes, heart disease or any kind of cancer whatsoever.  Simply put: brain disorders are becoming the public health challenge of the 21st century.  Our Better Brain Health Luncheon shines a spotlight on this important topic, acknowledging brain health is critical for our overall health and well-being.  At the luncheon, Palm Health Foundation will share the progress of our brain health funding and discuss critical next steps to improving brain health in Palm Beach County.

About the Keynote Speaker

Keynote presenter and biological anthropologist Helen E. Fisher, PhD is a pioneer in the research of human personality and the neurochemistry of leadership. Named a TED Talk “All-Star” and one of “the 15 most amazing women in science today” by Business Insider, Dr. Fisher will present her groundbreaking research showing the importance of social relationships to our brain health and overall well-being, as well as the adverse effects of social isolation on the brain.

Luncheon attendees will receive complimentary access to the The Fisher Temperament Inventory survey, valued at $300, taken by over 14 million people in 40 countries.  The Inventory is the first and only personality questionnaire built from and validated by neuroscience--representing the biggest leap in personality tools in the last 100 years.  Her work reveals how to recognize and influence each personality style, improving our understanding of how individuals collaborate, resolve conflict, innovate, and lead.
