Train the Brain October 2018 Recap

The foundation completed our second Train the Brain campaign this year in October. That’s right – Train the Brain twice in one year! It was an incredible privilege to continue the conversation around brain health with Palm Beach County residents. This time around, we diversified our event offerings to touch on all five domains of brain health.

Palm Health Foundation partnered with the Merrell Family Foundation and a variety of local organizations and individuals to offer 45 Train the Brain affiliated events! An estimated 1,800 residents participated in campaign events. Each event provided information and experiences that helped attendees better understand how to care for their brain health, every day!

Among event highlights, of course, was Palm Health Foundation’s Better Brain Health luncheon, which was attended by 300 guests and culminated the Train the Brain campaign. At the previous luncheon in November, Palm Health Foundation’s President & CEO announced a campaign to raise and invest $1 million over two years to advance brain health in Palm Beach County. At the Better Brain Health luncheon this month, he delivered the incredible news that we exceeded our fundraising goal in only ten months. This is an incredible accomplishment, met because of YOUR support, our dear friends of the foundation.

  • Advance new technologies, like web-based platforms and Artificial Intelligence, to improve care quality

  • Provide opportunities for students, health professionals and residents to better brain health in Palm Beach County

  • Link cutting edge research and community participation with care delivery
