Our overall health and wellbeing is intimately connected to the good health of our brains. Palm Health Foundation is leading a movement to advance brain health in Palm Beach County through our charitable funds and community initiatives.
Neuroarts is the transdisciplinary study of how arts and aesthetic experiences can measurably change the human body, brain, and behavior. Palm Health Foundation has convened county leaders in brain science, the arts, and health to form the Palm Beach County Neuroarts Collaborative to focus on identifying and mapping local partners, programs, resources, and existing research to support the advancement of neuroarts in South Florida.
Mental health funding in Florida is ranked 49th in the nation, yet we have remarkable assets to build on in Palm Beach County. Palm Health Foundation's Brain Health Innovation Fund is strengthening the local bonds between scientific research, community supports, and quality care to transform brain health right here in our own backyard.
Palm Health Foundation wants to put Palm Beach County on the map as a national leader in brain health advancement. Our efforts include promoting better brain health for our residents through the Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) program administered by
Alpert Jewish Family Service. MHFA teaches members of the public how to identify and help a person who is experiencing a mental health crisis. Since 2018, hundreds of residents have taken the training and now have the tools to help a neighbor in need.
