“Our work at Palm Health Foundation is dedicated to the idea of humanizing health, beginning with the Culture of Health Network.
Humanizing health for this network means that we are working toward a future where decisions about the community are made by and with the community.
This is far from the case now but it is a future we strive for, by insisting that our investments move people toward greater civic agency and power – because we know that having the power to shape a community’s future has a dramatic impact on creating healthy people and thriving places.
We are most interested in moving from single leaders - single dots - to distributed leadership - where people have a defined purpose and are tapping their own resources to get what your efforts want.
This convening was about reconnecting with initiatives we have a long partnership with, and helping to launch new ones.”
